Mematikan (disable) fax service di windows 7

Fax services merupakan sebuah aplikasi services yang tersedia di windows 7, ciri ini berfungsi jika komputer anda disambung ke mesin fax, atau menggunakan aplikasi fax di komputer. Jika anda tidak menghubungkan komputer dengan fax, sebaiknya ciri ini anda matikan /disable saja, agar tidak memberatkan dan membebani proses windows 7.

Untuk mematikan fax service di windows 7, ikuti langkah berikut:

1. Pada kotak search taip services.msc kemudian tekan enter

2. Di Window Services , Pilih Fax

3. Pada bagian Startup type, pilih Disabled
Klik Apply, OK

Jika untuk mengaktifkan kembali, pada gambar di atas dibagian Startup type, pilih Enabled

Mematikan (disable) telephony service di windows 7

Telephony merupakan sebuah aplikasi services windows yang berfungsi untuk mengatur konfigurasi windows semasa menghubungkan komputer dengan telephone, Ciri ini bermanfaat jika menggunakan telephone atau semasa menjadikan handphone sebagai modem komputer anda untuk menghubungkan internet, dan aplikasi komunikasi data lain antara handphone dan telephone.

Jika anda tidak menggunakan handphone sebagai modem komputer, maka sebaiknya ciri telephony mestilah tidak diaktifkan (disable), agar tidak memberatkan windows.

Langkah mematikan telephony di windows 7 adalah:

1. Pada kotak search taip services.msc kemudian enter

2. Dalam window Services
Pilih Telephony 

3. Pada bagian Startup type pilih disabled
Klik Apply, OK

Mempercepatkan start menu windows 7

Paparan start menu mempunyai waktu tunda ataupun delay time dan telah disetting secara default oleh windows iaitu pada angka 400ms. Pengguna boleh menggubah masa tersebut menjadi lebih cepat agar masa anda menggerakkan cursor dari satu objek ke objek yang lain,nampak perbezaan efek daripada yang sebelumnya dari segi kecepatan pergerakkan.Mengubah waktu tunda ini (menu show delay) tidak akan merusak windows.

Untuk mengubah menu show delay startmenu windows 7 agar tampilan start menu lebih cepat boleh dilakukan mengikut langkah berikut

1. Di kotak search taip regedit, kemudian enter

2. Buka direktori Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Double klik pada Menu show delay pada kotak dialog yang muncul ubah nilai value data dari 400 menjadi 0 atau 1
Klik OK

3. Menu show delay akan berubah seperti di bawah ini

Restart komputer...masa membuka menu akan lebih cepat dari sebelumnya.selamat mencuba

Mematikan (disable) automatic update di windows 7

Automatic update adalah sebuah ciri-ciri yang ada di windows yang berfungsi untuk membantu pengguna windows untuk mengupdate secara online windows yang telah terinstall di komputer pengguna. Jika anda tidak mempunyai koneksi internet atau anda tidak ingin mengupdate windows 7 anda secara online, maka ciri ini boleh dimatikan atau tidak diaktifkan (disable automatic update)

Berikut ini cara mematikan automatic update di Windows 7:

1. Di start menu pilih Control Panel

2. Pilih System and Security

3. Pilih Windows Update

4. Pilih never check for updates (not recommended)
Unmark :
a. Give me recommended updates the same way.....
b. I allow all user ....

5. Akhirnya akan seperti di bawah ini
Klik OK.

Uninstall tablet PC compenent di Windows 7

Windows 7 menyediakan Feature PC tablet component, feature atau ciri-ciri ini hanya untuk pengguna yang menggunakan jenis komputer tablet PC , rujuk sini tablet pc . Jika pengguna hanya menggunakan PC (desktop) atau notebook, lebih baik anda tidak mengaktifkan service tablet PC atau uninstall tablet pc component tersebut. Service ini tidak perlu diaktifkan agar windows tidak menyediakan memory untuk service tersebut supaya anda boleh menjimatkan penggunaan memory komputer anda.

Untuk uninstall tablet PC di windows 7 boleh dilakukan dengan cara berikut:

1. Pada start menu, pilih Control Panel

2. Selajutnya pilih Programs

3. Kemudian pilih Turn windows feature on or off

4. Uncheck pada Tablet PC components
Klik OK

5. Tunggu hingga proses uninstall selesai

Dengan mematikan services yang tidak diperlukan tentunya akan membantu membantu meningkatkan prestasi Windows pada komputer.

Mematikan autorun/autoplay di Windows 7

Autoplay/autorun adalah satu ciri khas windows yang berfungsi untuk membuka file yang berada di media storan (CD/Hardisk Eksternal/Flashdisk,dll) secara automatik. Ada beberapa kelemahan jika mengaktifkan fungsi Autorun Windows ini, iaitu:

1. Jika CD/Hardisk Eksternal/Flashdisk mengandung virus,maka virus dapat dengan mudah menyerang komputer anda melalui autorun windows 7


2. Autoplay juga menggunakan bahagian memori dan boleh mengurangkan memori komputer.

Sebenarnya anda boleh mematikan autorun/autoplay windows 7. Berikut ini adalah cara untuk mematikan/ disable autoplay windows 7

1. Di start menu, pilih Control panel

2. Pilih hardware and sound

3. Pilih Autoplay

4. Unmark pada "Use Autoplay for all media devices"
Klik butang Save

Jika setting autorun/autoplay berjaya, bila anda memasukkan CD/DVD ke dalam CD/DVD Player , CD/DVD tersebut tidak akan autoplay secara automatik.

Customize the Windows 7 log-on screen

Windows 7 makes it easy changing the Windows log-on screen.

    1. Go to start, and click on Run, type Regedit & press enter there.
    2. Navigate to : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\ LogonUI\Background
    3. Double-click the OEMBackground DWORD key
    4. Set value of the key to 1.

    5. Select a background image for Logon Screen with size less than 256KB in size (Use of Image Resize software like VSO Resizer can help)
    6. Copy that image into the C:\Windows\system32\oobe\info\backgrounds folder
    7. Rename the image to backgroundDefault.jpg
    8. Reboot, and now your logon Image would have changed.

User Account Control dalam Windows 7

Windows 7 User Account Control (UAC) kurang memaparkan amaran atau warning berbanding Windows Vista dan pengguna juga boleh mengubah setting bagi UAC mengikut keperluan dan keutamaan dari segi keselamatan dan kurang mengganggu desktop anda.


UAC prompt pada Windows 7 tidak sebanyak seperti di Windows Vista yang mana banyak memerlukan elevasi dan Administrator boleh menyesuaikan bentuk UAC prompt.

Go to Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control Settings

Disini kita boleh pilih bila mahu beritahu atau papar UAC prompt.Terdapat 4 tahap security yang boleh dipilih...

• Always Notify
• Notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer
• Notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer (do not dim my desktop)
• Never Notify 

Anda boleh pilih mengikut kesesuaian antara keselamatan dan paparan desktop serta kesesuaian tahap UAC prompt.Setiap perubahan UAC akan meminta untuk pengesahan.


Untuk menjimatkan masa,hanya pilih never notify.Anda tidak akan terganggu dengan UAC prompt.Tetapi pastikan anda menggunakan software yang dipercayai.
